In the medical literature, a good death is one that respects the individual's privacy and sensitivity, addresses their emotional, spiritual, and religious needs and wishes, and allows sufficient time for farewells. Founded in 2007, the Wish Ambulance Foundation continues its efforts to ensure that terminally ill patients with limited time can experience a 'good' death. Today, the foundation fulfills the last wishes of people of all ages facing imminent death. Frank Halter, a retired police officer who volunteers for the foundation in The Netherlands, has been involved in this voluntary work for 6 years. The Good Death focuses on the last wishes of Wim Beuving, a terminally ill man with limited time remaining, and his encounter with Frank Halter, who volunteers to make these wishes a reality.
