This year, as its celebrates its 13th anniversary, the festival invites you to enjoy a rich program of 20 films, continuing its tradition of highlighting contemporary Turkish cinema and Turkish filmmakers. We are proud to present you North America and U.S. premieres of many films in our program. We are also delighted to announce that the 2014 Boston Turkish Film Festival Award for Excellence in Turkish Cinema recipient is acclaimed director Reis Çelik. Award Ceremony will take place following the screening of Film Against All Odds (İnadına Film Çekmek). The Festival will pay a tribute to legendary actor Tuncel Kurtiz, who sadly passed away in 2013. Don't miss three films with Tuncel Kurtiz; Tales of Intransigence (Inat Hikayeleri), Film Against All Odds (İnadına Film Çekmek), and Happy Family Journal (Mutlu Aile Defteri). Award winning films of the 18th Boston Turkish Festival Documentary & Short Film Competition will be rescreened and directors will be presented their awards in a ceremony, followed by a panel discussion moderated by film critic Peter Keough.

It is also our distinct honor to be announcing a special concert series in the music program of the festival in April: Tanini Trio (Apr.12), pianist Aysegul Durakoğlu (Apr.19), and guitarist Cem Duruöz (Apr.26).
