"Turkish cinema is known for drawing on stories that are intimate, imaginative, and provocative. And Turkish directors have won awards from national and international film festivals for their efforts. This year’s BTFF features an excellent representation of the country’s films, including debut works of mostly young directors."
- Tim Jackson, film critic, The Arts Fuse
