The neurotic Fikret and tavern singer Solmaz, whose 21 year-long relationships end on the same day, meet through a funny coincidence. When Solmaz’s daughter Zeynep decides to marry her lover from Adana, the ever-fearful Fikret ends up having to play the role of his life. Intended at first to be kept in the family, the wedding becomes a much bigger event upon the insistence of the groom’s relatives.

Director OZAN AÇIKTAN
Ozan Açıktan (Eskişehir, 1978) received his undergraduate degree from Ankara University, Faculty Of Communication, Radio Tv and Cinema in 2000. During his studies he started shooting short films which received international awards. He worked as assistant director in films and TV serials. Between 2002 – 2004 he studied in the Department of Director of Photography in Lodz, Polish National Film School. Açıktan returned to Istanbul in 2006 and received the best 2nd short fiction film award from Metro-Tursak Short film Contest, and he was granted to study in Baden-Württemberg Film Academy, in Ludwigsburg, Germany, focusing on scriptwriting and dramaturgy. The same year he attended Berlinale Talent campus. He received numerous awards for the commercials and promos that he directed. Açıktan’s first feature film, “Comedy Kitchen: Holiday Recipes” was released in 2010 and was the 6th in national box office. His first viral “Istanblue” received more than 6 million hits nation wide in 2011. His second feature film “Who are you?” (Sen Kimsin) was released in 2012 and was the third in the national box office. “The Consequences” (Silsile, 2014), his third feature, received Best Cinematography Award in the Istanbul International Film Festival, and Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Young Actor Awards in the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival. |
