ELİF BOYACIOĞLU

Elif Boyacıoğlu received her BA in Communication and Design, and MA and PhD in History from Bilkent University. Her graduate studies focused on death in European medieval societies and related supernatural and folkloric beliefs. She completed a second BA in Animation at the Irish School of Animation, BCFE, Dublin. Her animated graduation short The Teacup was screened in over fifty international film festivals, winning seven awards. From 2016 to 2022, she was an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Communication at Başkent University. She is currently based in Toronto,

“The Teacup” was the recipient of Special Mention at BTF’s 10th Documentary and Short Film Competition in 2015.
